Act 101

MISSION STATEMENT:  
The Mansfield University Act 101 Program
, from April 12, 1972 to the present, has assumed not only the responsibility, but the commitment to provide an educational opportunity to residents of Pennsylvania in accord with Legislative Act (HB1213) No. 101. Inherent in the Program's mission is not only those elements mandated by Act No. 101, but the moral, ethical, constitutional and social values that are emphasized when enrollment opportunities and supportive services help to maximize a student's potential.

Therefore, it is the wish of Mansfield University, and the Act 101 Program faculty and staff, to assist Pennsylvania residents in their attempts to succeed educationally, thus creating opportunities for an expanded quality of life; and to do this by creating an active and supportive learning environment at Mansfield University. The Act 101 Program at Mansfield University promotes leadership, responsibility, and the belief that participating in the program helps to enhance one's ability to succeed in one's chosen career path.
